The Omarama Clay Cliffs are located only 10km (6.2 miles) from the town of Omarama on South Highway 8. The turnoff to the Omarama Clay Cliffs is just north of Omarama (heading towards Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook National Park) and is called Quailburn Road.

3 March 2022 Walking in-between the towering pinnacles of Omarama Clay Cliffs feels like you've suddenly been transported to Utah or maybe onto a movie set! It's unlike any other landscape we've seen in New Zealand and a must visit when driving between Queenstown and Christchurch. The scenery is stunning and it's an easy walk to see the cliffs.
